Mies van der Rohe Charity Event, 2009
In honor of the famed architect’s 123rd birthday, the Mies van der Rohe society paired fashion designers with architecture firms to create a garment based on the paired architect’s buildings. This design is inspired by The Spertus Institute (Krueck+Sexton Architects), pictured above. All garments were auctioned off for charity benefitting the Mies van der Rohe society, a group that is dedicated to Art, Culture, and the preservation of the Mies Legacy in Chicago.
